We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Our mission is to promote awareness and encourage use of mediation to resolve family conflicts. We believe that mediation should be considered as early in the process as possible, and that mediation can enable people to find peaceful, personal, and private solutions that most often save time, money, and stress. Our vision is to focus on mediators, the courts, the public, and other professionals such as attorneys, mental health professionals, and community organizations, and we will:

Family Mediation Council - Michigan is pleased to honor Barbara Johannessen with a Tribute Dinner recognizing her contributions to Mediation.
